FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q1: Where are you based? We are ideally based near Cullumpton in Devon, just 3 minutes (by car)from junction 28 of the M5 and extremely close to the surf and the beautiful south coast. It couldn't be easier if you are travelling down to Devon or Cornwall anyway. You can park your car up safely at our workshop and it will be looked after whilst your away. Q2: What type of vans do you have and how many people can sleep in them? All of our vans are fully restored Type 2 Bay Window vans (1968 onwards). They sleep 4 people and if you book the optional awning which sleeps 4 people then you can free up space in the van overnight! The awnings are the latest on the market made by Khyam, they have two sleeping compartments and are the quickest awnings we have come across to put up. You will not be disappointed! Q3: Can the vans be taken to mainland Europe? Yes - but for further destinations we need to be consulted before making a firm booking. Q4: When can I pick up and return the Van? All of our vans are booked out from Saturday to Saturday (unless a long weekend booking). In order for them to valeted and serviced we ask for the vans to be returned by 11.00am (there are nearby camp sites we can recommend - but if you are in Devon anyway you are just a short drive away from our depot. Vans will be ready to collect for the start of your hire from 2.30pm on Saturdays. Q5: Are the Vans equipped with CD players? Yes - all our vans are fully equipped with the latest in car entertainment. Q6: Can we take our pets with us? We try to keep our new leather interiors in excellent condition therefore we advise pets do not come with you. We are only a short drive to the seaside - you could always take your own car and the campervan with you on your holiday which would then allow you to take your pets (as long as they sleep in your car!) Q7: What happens in the event of a breakdown? All the Vans have new reconditioned engines and are regularly serviced but in the unlikely event of a breakdown all vehicles are covered by AA Relay. If the AA is unable to get you going, then we may either replace the Van (subject to availability) or refund the remaining part of the hire period. Q8: Can we leave our cars with you for the duration of the hire period? Yes - your cars can be parked at our depot - note:- at your own risk. Q9: What facilities for cooking does the van have? All the vans have new 4 ring gas cookers and sinks. There is a new fridge too for keeping things cool. Q10: What is the minimum age for drivers? Drivers must be aged 25 or over - there is an additional charge for drivers aged between 21-25. Q11: What things do I need to bring? All the vans come fully equipped with all the items you need to cook and eat with. There is an inventory of equipment for each van - refer to terms and conditions. Bedding is not provided. Just a note of warning: the vans have limited storage space so do not bring too many bulky items with you! Q12 What documentation must I bring with me? All drivers must bring their full driving license (both parts) and a utility bill or other statement proving their address. If you are not intending to leave a vehicle with us then your passport must also be brought as security for the vans. Q14: Are the vans fitted with seat belts? Yes, inertia seat belts in the front and lap belts in the rear seats. Q15: Does the fridge stay on all the time? No, it gets its supply from a gas bottle supplied. When driving the fridge MUST BE TURNED OFF.
